Payroll Analyst U.S. Multi-State & Union Payroll
Denver, CO(Hybrid) Permanent/Full-Time Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000
We are supporting a well-established North American infrastructure contractor in adding a Payroll Analyst to their team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.
This opportunity is well suited to an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working within a fast-paced operational environment and brings strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, compliance, and union payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Process full-cycle U.S. payroll across multiple states and jurisdictions
• Support payroll administration for both union and non-union employee groups
• Interpret collective bargaining agreements and apply wage, fringe, and benefit requirements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll legislation and tax requirements
• Reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate audit-ready records
• Prepare payroll reports and support year-end payroll activities and reconciliations
• Partner with HR, Finance, and operational teams to resolve payroll inquiries and support employees
• Contribute to payroll process improvements, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Qualifications Include:
• 5+ years of payroll experience, ideally within multi-state U.S. payroll environments
• Experience supporting union payroll strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. payroll legislation, taxation, and compliance requirements
• Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or other project-based industries considered an asset
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Ceridian, Workday, or comparable platforms
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• CPP designation considered an asset
